DISCOVER A NEW HORSEMANSHIP WORLD, ALL IN A FUN, EXCITING AND CHALLENGING LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.

Day or 3 Day clinics offer the opportunity to ride with a large number of participants and to learn from the experience of others and their horses. Listening and watching as the instructor helps other riders is a great source of learning. Even if your horse does not present the same background and behavior, you can gain knowledge in dealing with a certain situation if it ever presents itself.

In all our clinics, riders are grouped in smaller groups to minimize standing and waiting time. Within each group, each and every rider works individually. I do not drill teach. In other words, I work with one rider at once, all throughout the clinic. In this way, each and every participant gets my total and undivided attention. This allows me to work individually on those things which this rider wants to/needs to work on with her horse. Essentially then each day of every clinic constitutes a private lesson adapted to each particular horse/rider team.

Some of the things you will learn:

+ How to better develop control on your horse's body so he can perform better spins, roll-backs, stops, back-ups.
+ How to achieve smooth transitions from the walk to the jog to the relaxed, balanced lope.

+ How to achieve smooth flying lead changes after you learn the steps that make them as easy as can be.
+ Easy ways to change your horse's behavior, getting him to relax in any situation.

+ An easy way to get your horse to lower his head and elevate his forehand, giving you more control over his entire body for balance and collection.
+ How to apply lateral and longitudinal flexion and why.
+ How to solve lead problems.
+ How to prepare your horse for cattle-penning, cutting, cowhorse events, and ranch work.

+ How to use your legs for ultimate performance.
+ How to use your seat as the ultimate aid in schooling.
+ How to use your hands for maximum lightness and responsiveness.
+ How to develop a willing partnership with your horse.

We look forward to helping you attain your reining and horsemanship goals; contact us to learn more about the opportunities for learning with JP Forget Reining Horses.
